Errol's talent goes back to the great bands of 60s. Starting at the age of twelve Errol taught himself the guitar. Playing along with the radio gave him a ear for music. Writing songs was always a part of who he is. Most of his song writing comes from his own life. "writing about yourself is easy" he will tell you, you already know where the story is going, add a few cords, a few notes, and before you know it, theres a song. Setting up his own studio seemed like the thing to do! "I need a place to write what I want, when I want", he said.
In the early years Errol was the lead guitar player with the Devilles, one of the top midwest bands of the 60s. Fronting for a lot of the stars in those days gave him the drive to do what he loves. I dont care if you like my music, just give it a listen, that's all I ask. He says that to all that would listen.
I write from the heart, how can that be bad.
It makes me feel good to tell my stories, setting them to music is just a plus. This is like playing your favorite sport for a living - having fun for money.
If you like easy listening music, some sad, some funny, lots of love songs, Errol will be the one for you. Also, all Errol's CD''s featured on this site were completely Errol's creativity - written, composed and performed by himself (with a bit of lyric assistance from his wife) . All instruments and vocals are done by himself - no band, no backup singers other than a few tunes his daughter Julie helped him with as backup/duet vocalist. Thanks for sharing a bit of your time.
